Keaton is a PhD student in the Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences Program at McMaster. He graduated from the Biology & Pharmacology Co-op program at McMaster in 2024. Keaton completed his undergraduate thesis in the Wilson lab, using computation methods to explore the impacts of maternal smoking in the DNA methylation patterns of cell-free placental DNA. Keaton’s graduate projects largely focus on the epigenetic landscape and genome organization of the placenta and how these characteristics can be detected non-invasively to assess placental health. With a passion for bioinformatics, he is excited to continue developing his computational and data analysis skills with the lab.
