Jiya is a fourth-year student in the Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization program at McMaster University. Her thesis project explores genetic and epigenetic signatures associated with infertility and placental development, including differences between pregnancies conceived through assisted reproductive technologies and those conceived spontaneously. Her work involves analyzing publicly available datasets to better understand molecular patterns associated with reproductive and pregnancy outcomes. With a strong interest in women’s health, Jiya is excited to strengthen her skills in bioinformatics and computational analysis. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, going on long walks, and trying new coffee shops!
